The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as the team geared up to share Loisaba’s story with a wide audience across the region.
The program kicked off with the Loisaba 1 song, setting an energetic and inspiring tone for the evening. This was followed by introductions, where each team member shared their name and role. Paul then outlined the purpose of the show and guided listeners through the key highlights of Loisaba’s work.

Sharing the Mission and Vision
Listeners were introduced to Loisaba Conservancy’s mission and vision, including its important role as a rhino sanctuary. Located in Laikipia North Sub-County, and neighboring Isiolo and Samburu counties, Loisaba stands as a model for conservation that balances wildlife protection with community development.
Paul provided an overview of the Loisaba Community Department programs and invited Unita to elaborate on the education program. She highlighted the conservancy’s support to schools and learners in surrounding communities—an initiative that has made a tangible difference in improving access to education.
Paul further explained additional community initiatives, including:
Health programs
Livelihood support
Human–wildlife conflict mitigation
These programs demonstrate Loisaba’s commitment to ensuring that conservation benefits extend beyond wildlife to positively impact people’s lives.

Strengthening Peace, Security, and Partnerships
Daniel Yiankere spoke about peace, unity, and security support within neighboring communities. He emphasized emergency response efforts and employment opportunities, noting that community members are given priority whenever vacancies arise.
He also highlighted the strong collaboration between Loisaba and community grazing and security teams from neighboring areas including Labarishereki, Naibunga, Morijo, KMC, and P&D, alongside other key stakeholders and partners.
Special appreciation was extended to Loisaba Conservancy CEO, Bwana Tom (MR Tom), for mobilizing resources and maintaining strong partnerships with organizations such as Pankaj, San Diego, TNC, Lionscapes, Wyss, KWS, community conservancies, and local community members. These partnerships continue to strengthen conservation and community development efforts.
Launch of Loisaba 3 and Overwhelming Public Support
A major highlight of the evening was the launch of the Loisaba 3 song, adding excitement and pride to the broadcast.
When the phone lines were opened, listeners responded in large numbers. To everyone’s surprise, callers did not raise questions or concerns—instead, they expressed appreciation and affirmed that everything shared during the program was true. Many acknowledged and recognized Loisaba’s consistent support to surrounding communities.
Due to time limitations, several incoming calls could not be received—clear evidence of the immense public interest and support.
